The external, downstairs walls are poured. 4th Oct 2011

We have walls; that are full of concrete!

This is looking at the pantry window and there's my craft room at the very end.

We do have videos but they don't seem to be uploading yet.

21st September 2011

Guess what arrived today? our walls! Well only half of them, we are now in 3d. Mark stuck a couple on one corner just to see and brought up our rather massive windows tonight. All systems go for Friday and Saturday.

Rather a lot of photos - a very exciting day! 8th and 9th Sept 2011

The radon barrier followed by the insulation and then the steel mesh all ready to go.
Pipes are all covered at the top and almost ready for the pour in the morning.

Here we go!

And we have a floor - yippee!

External walls here we come.

6th August 2011

The islands were all levelled off a bit and then gravel put on top and whacked down after the pipes were laid. Almost ready to pour our floor!

1st August 2011

These are the foundation walls for the outside stone work.

Our two best helpers, making us lettuce soup here.

28th July 2011

It's been a while since I updated this - been rather tired and the laptop died for 3 weeks but was kindly resurrected by Keith, Jamie and Mark. Anyway will let the photos tell the story for the main part. The internal wall foundation block work is done.

End of week 2

A lot of sorting out but this pile is now gone.

We poured our foundation strips. "We" not being me (Sarah) at all! Thanks lads for all the work.

Some gravel in around the front so we don't muck up the lane too much.

 First load of concrete in.

Second load arrived.

The youngest helper of the day.

It was such a wet day.
 We have steel in there.

This view is as you drive up to the site.

The foundations are solid and the ICF has arrived to make the upstands.

This was yesterday (Sunday 24th)

Mark is standing in the downstairs loo, Anna is outside its door.
